Irish Aid Research Strategy 2015-2019

Poverty, Hunger, Environmental/Climate Change, News/feature, Global, Ireland, 2015

One World, One Future: Ireland's Policy for International Development emphasises the importance of learning from our own experience and practice, from evaluations and reviews, and from the best available research to ensure our approaches are the most effective in reducing poverty.

Irish Aid’s Research Strategy will guide our work on development research over the next five years by building knowledge and evidence across seven research themes aligned to our policy priorities – Global Hunger, Fragile States and Situations, Climate Change, Trade and Economic Growth, Essential Services, Human Rights and Accountability, and Humanitarian Assistance. The Strategy also prioritises the need to build research capacity where it is needed most, within research partnerships, institutions and networks in Irish Aid partner countries. Irish Aid provides research funding of over €30 million annually across our programme.
